Description: Responsible for managing the assigned principals' business within a defined marketing area. The primary focus is to increase sales and market share of the represented brands while ensuring profitability for our manufacturers and Acosta Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve principals' volume, share, and sales fundamental goals (merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving) at the lowest possible cost.
  • Maximize company revenue through effective management of brokerage, commissions, bonuses, and other earnings while maintaining a low selling cost.
  • Communicate principals' priorities to Retail Sales Managers, IT Managers, Marketing Managers, Business Managers, and the retail selling team to ensure in-store presence and business objective success.
  • Report directly to the General Manager or Team Leader.
  • Lead the development, design, and presentation of Acosta's introduction to new principals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with principals and customers, ensuring proactive communication.
  • Foster collaboration within the team and encourage knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate communication between General Managers and principals, as well as between principals and other managers.
  • Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on major retail initiatives such as product launches, selling drives, and contests.
  • Organize principals' market visits and key account meetings.
  • Leverage customer, market, and principal insights to successfully sell programs and initiatives, involving Marketing, Technology, and Sales Support as needed.
  • Utilize input from senior management to understand customer strategies and create compelling sales presentations.
  • Provide feedback to principals and the General Manager on strategy effectiveness and business improvements.
  • Support retail teams with necessary tools, information, and distribution insights.
  • Monitor and report competitive activity and market pricing.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance organizational capabilities and drive business growth.
  • Pursue continuous personal development and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Ensure adherence to all client policies and procedures.
  • Oversee financial aspects like deductions and promotional fund management.
  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, preferably within a food brokerage or national company.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales and marketing data to create impactful presentations.
  • Skilled in various software tools relevant to sales operations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
